Happy Birthday to Daniel Boone! This American pioneer and explorer was born on November 2nd, 1734, in Berks County, Pennsylvania (Boone’s date of birth is sometimes listed as October 22nd because the Boone family used an outdated calendar system) Boone’s early exploration of the frontier led to the expansion of the United States.
My third grade leveled reader "The Adventures of Daniel Boone" provides students with interesting facts about the life of Daniel Boone, a great American explorer and woodsman. Students will build their vocabulary and improve their reading comprehension as they read this story and do the activities.
